If you asked me I would say a playboy. I wish I could relate this car to something being built today but I think the class of car that is the Auburn no loner exists.

Owners of Auburns these days are probably different. They're not for playboys, but rather for people of impeccable taste. I could imagine Dita Von Teese riding around in one.

I guess I should have stated original owners of Auburns in the 1930s. I do agree with your statement however today owners have impeccable taste.

Actually, they're primarily owned by investors. The kind who treat cars as a form of stock and don't even look at them after they buy them. There are some people who buy them to treat them as something special, but I've encountered the investor type at the Auburn Fall Auction several times.

You may be correct. I have next to no knowledge on obscure cars from that era unfortunately. I love them, but not being around them all of the time makes them more difficult to learn about.
